Kayaking

Join Our Kayaking Club

Grosse Ile Yacht Club has an active kayaking club, who meet every other Thursday evening throughout the summer to explore the waters surrounding GIYC, usually followed by an informal dinner in the club lounge or dining room.

In addition, the kayak group meets on occasional weekends for longer sojourns. Last summer over 20 members participated in club kayaking activities.

Members may store their kayaks at the club for a yearly fee, which allows the use of the club ramp and launch facilities.

Please contact the GIYC fleet captain or club manager for further information and storage rates.  For more information about joining the group, please call 734-285-2925.
