Brief qualifications and rights of Membership Classes (see Bylaws for details):\

Interim Member: After two years from the date they join would have to move up to either active or social class.

Active: twenty-one years of age, voting privileges, dock points, reciprocal rights at other clubs, qualifies for office, club equity.

Social: twenty-one years of age, reciprocal rights at other clubs, group has one vote.

Life Active: sixty years of age and active membership for twenty-five years. Same rights as active member.

Surviving Spouse: optional choice of surviving spouse, reciprocal rights at other clubs, qualifies for office, group has one vote.

Intermediate: twenty-one to thirty years of age. No points or dockage. Dues paid will apply to offset the initiation fee for social or active membership.

Junior: under twenty-one years of age. No points or dockage.

Non-Resident: resides more than sixty miles from clubhouse.
 

Notes:
 

   • Minimums for food and drinks are $315 for first seven-month period/ and $225 for the last five-month period of the calendar year.

   • The annual work hour requirement may be met by contacting any board or bridge member to find jobs on club projects or parties. Each member who does not complete work hours during the calendar year will be charged $25 per uncompleted work hour. However there is always plenty that needs to be done around the club and most members enjoy their contribution of time to the community effort.

   • New members' work hours would be optional for the first season of their membership.

   • Reciprocal rights are available to all members (excluding Junior Members) with the following clubs: all AYC, DRYA & ILYA affiliated clubs, Grosse Ile Golf & Country Club and West Shore Golf & Country Club.

   • Active members wishing a boat well will have to contact our current fleet captain for well assignments and charges.

   • Life Active must be 60 years of age and have 25 years of active service.

   • Life Active and Surviving Spouse pays 25% of active dues and building assessments

   • Non Residents only pay 25% of their active dues.
